ChangeXchange–The Reverse Buyer-Seller Meet at ELECRAMA-2012–the premier showcase of Indian Electrical Sector, is the World's largest confluence of the power transmission and distribution community. ELECRAMA is now a movement, beyond just an exhibition. Held biennially since 1990 in Mumbai, India, the ninth edition ELECRAMA 2010 hosted 1,243 exhibitors from India and 23 countries, and attracted 1,05,209 footfalls into the exhibition.

ELECRAMA as an exhibition features the biggest names in the global electrical T&D industry, to whom it serves as the perfect launch vehicle to introduce latest products and technology. ELECRAMA showcases products and technology through the entire voltage spectrum, from 110V to 1200 kV, conforming to global standards and specifications. A large number of business and technology partnerships are also transacted during the 5 day period giving it a must attend event status amongst global exhibitions.

ELECRAMA visitors consist of a wide spectrum of industry stakeholders, offering them an international framework for display, discussions and deliberations. It brings together manufacturers and suppliers to interface with key customer segments like private and public T&D Utilities, EPCs, Consultants and specifiers, members of the government and policy makers. Indian Electrical & Electronics Manufacturers' Association (IEEMA) is the apex association of manufacturers of electrical, industrial electronics and allied equipment in India. Founded in 1948, IEEMA has a pan India presence with its headquarters in Mumbai and regional offices in New Delhi, Kolkata and Bangalore.

IEEMA, the first ISO certified industry association in India, has over 750 member organisations encompassing the complete value chain in power generation, transmission and distribution. Its membership base, ranging from public sector enterprises, multinational companies to small and medium companies, gives IEEMA a truly national representative character. IEEMA members represent a combined annual turnover in excess of US$ 25 billion and have contributed to more than 90% of the power equipment installed in India.

IEEMA provides a vibrant platform for knowledge sharing, adoption of best practices and networking opportunities for manufacturers, utilities, professionals, international experts and organisations. It organises technical product-specific international seminars, national conferences and workshops, as also numerous training programmes for capacity building of technical personnel in the country and abroad.

In its endeavour of making the domestic electrical industry a global leader, IEEMA organises periodic high-level delegation visits and participation in exhibitions abroad. It actively networks with overseas counterpart associations for exchange of information and organisation of joint programmes aimed at enhancing business co-operation.
